Election Process

​NWICC Election Committee (EC) would like to invite eligible nwicc members to participate in the election process for 2 open board positions.

Board Seats Up for Election (Three Years Term) 2 Seats:

- Yasmin Ragheb

  According to NWICC Bylaws: 

· Each single-membership shall be eligible to cast one (1) vote per position.  Members will get one voting email with a link to cast their vote. Membership is in good standing for at least six (6) months prior to the end of election year (Membership active from July 1st of the election year). 

 

· Each family-membership shall be eligible to cast two (2) votes per position. Members will get two voting emails with a link to cast their vote. Membership is in good standing for at least six (6) months prior to the end of election year (Membership active since July 1st of the election year). 

  

· A person must be a general member for one (1) full year before being eligible for election to the Board. 

· Board members shall be elected for a period of three (3) years (except for the special election). 

· A person cannot serve more than three (3) consecutive full-terms on the Board. 

· Members of the immediate family cannot run or be on the Board at the same time. 

· A member can nominate him/herself. 

. A son/daughter of a family member who is 18+ old can run for election to the board only if he/she holds individual membership for one (1) full year before being nominated.

​Only members of NWICC will be eligible to vote. If you are a member, you will receive information on how to nominate and vote. If you don’t receive this information please notify the election committee.

 

The election committee(EC) is an independent committee and does not report to the NWICC Board nor any board members oversee the EC. The voting is conducted through an independent 3rd party (Election Buddy), the EC members don’t see or have access to how each vote is casted. The EC may consult the chairperson and others for clarification of function as they see fit.
